He told her she was an angel, and asked her "to let what we believe is his daughter to know much he loved her".
In the note, Hernandez wrote he "indirectly" told Jenkins-Hernandez his death was coming. "This was the supremes, the almightys plan, not mine!" Look after (redacted) and (redacted) for me-these are my boys (YOU'RE RICH).
The excerpted segment ends with "I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden".
Hernandez, 27, was also a bit lyrical in his suicide note. Attorneys for Hernandez's family did not immediately respond to the release of the letter.
Three handwritten notes were discovered in Hernandez's cell when he was found hanged.
The night of his death, Hernandez had placed a large amount of shampoo on the floor to his cell, making it very slippery, according to the investigation report.
"He was a spiritual guy who was always quoting the Bible", the inmate said.
"There was absolutely no indication that he would do anything like that", the inmate said, referring to suicide.
One inmate said Hernandez had recently mentioned that legal principle to him. Hernandez was acquitted days earlier for two murder charges related to a July 2012 drive-by shooting near a Boston nightclub.
Inmates also stated that, in the days leading up to his death, the former Patriot was "positive and even happily emotional, which was not usual of Hernandez", said one report.
Hernandez, the former National Football League star, had been serving a life sentence since April 2015, when he was convicted of the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd.
"I ask for the cell door to open, but the inmate had the door blocked, making it hard to open at first", according to a report of the offense.
According to the official report that was obtained by TMZ Sports, Hernandez also wrote the Bible verse in blood on the walls of his cell and marked the verse with blood in his personal Bible. A Bible was found open to that Gospel, with a spot of blood marking the passage.
The blood had come from a cut on the top of Hernandez's right middle finger, the report said. The defense team also blasted state officials for leaking information contained in the reports to the media.
In court papers, one of the reasons prosecutors argue against voiding Hernandez's conviction is the potential ramifications the nullification of the jury's verdict would have on civil cases filed against Hernandez.
Hernandez's legal team has asked a court to dismiss the first-degree murder conviction under a long-standing MA legal principle where courts customarily vacate the convictions of defendants who die before their appeals are heard.
